Ladies’ Ministry
Ladies of all ages encourage and build each other up in the faith through the study and application of God’s Word through book studies, prayer, fellowships, retreats, activities, and in service to each other and the church body.
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up… I Thessalonians 5:11 (ESV)
Sisters in Christ
Sisters in Christ is a monthly meeting that encourages spiritual growth through fellowship and Bible study. It includes a book study designed to deepen relationships and build one another up in the Christian life.
Ladies Retreats
Retreats are part of the ladies’ ministry schedule at HBC. These events provide spiritual refreshment and deepen relationships. Often, the retreats are an opportunity to fellowship with ladies from other churches that share our commitments of faith. The Ladies Weekend at Peniel Bible Camp is a favorite location.
Men’s Ministry
Weekly Coffee & Conversation
Each Thursday morning at 8 o’clock, the men of the church meet together to enjoy coffee and fellowship. The conversation focuses on our personal Bible reading from the previous week. Many use the same Bible reading schedule, so that they read the same portions of Scripture. This helps everyone contribute to discussion about a particular passage. At the close of our fellowship, we share prayer requests and bring them before the Lord together.
Monthly Men’s Meeting
The first Saturday of (nearly) each month the men of Huron Baptist Church meet for breakfast, fellowship, discussion, and prayer. Several of our men bring their sons with them. Our discussion often centers on a chapter from a book that makes a valuable contribution to spiritual growth and leadership development.
Annual Men’s Retreat
Each May, Huron Baptist Church hosts a golf outing and Men’s Retreat. We enjoy two days of fellowship with men from several other churches that share our faith and practices. The focus of our retreat is a series of timely messages designed to equip men to follow Christ and lead their families. We invite guest speakers who have demonstrated faithfulness in ministry and excellence in communicating the truth of God’s word.
